Why do you use epoxy grout?

Epoxy Grouts are superior when it comes to waterproofing grout joints. Epoxy grout is 100% waterproof, and unlike sealers that will eventually wear off depending on frequent use and cleaning, it's easier to keep clean, won’t discolor, crack or become brittle over time. Epoxy grout is also uniform in colour and won't fade. It is superior to other types of grout.

Do I have to stop using my shower?

If the shower is leaking and its causing damage then yes, it is preferred to stop using the shower altogether until the leak is fully repaired. Once repaired it is recommended to leave the shower for at least 72 hours so the Epoxy grout is fully cured. Warming up the room will speed up this process and help the Epoxy grout cure faster.

How long does the work take?

For a standard shower it normally takes 6-8 hours although this time might vary depending on how hard to original grout is to remove. Size of grout joints, travel, how small your tiles are if there is more grout to remove etc.

What should I use to clean my shower after the leak has been repaired?

After your shower is repaired it is far easier to keep clean due to the products we use. So, in saying this we recommend using a Ph Neutral cleaner. This ensures you won’t damage any coatings in the shower including the grout. Bleach is bad! So stay away from heavy chemicals that can damage your tiles and grout long term. Light cleaning is only needed after a re-seal and you can also use a squeegee after every shower to help with cleaning less.

Do you clean dirty grout and tiles?

We will only clean inside the shower which will help with our products sticking properly. Unfortunately we don’t offer a full bathroom clean just yet although this is something we will offer in the future along with shower screen cleaning and protection.

Do you use mould/fungi resistant silicone and grout?

Our Silicone and Epoxy grouts we use are pool grade. This means they can be submerged and are more effective against chemicals thus lasting longer and having a higher bond rate then normal typical shower grouts and silicone.

Do you fix leaking shower screens or replace them?

We do not fix leaking or damage shower screens. We do however recommend trades people who can. We only recommend replacing the shower screen if we can not fix the leak in the shower after a re-seal has been completed.

Do you fix cracked tiles or replace them?

At the moment we do not replace cracked tiles as it is very hard to replace. We seal them with a clear waterproof epoxy. However if you wish to pay an additional cost we can have the crack fixed and matched with a specialist that specializes in epoxy repair.

Are you licensed to do shower re-seals?

Yes, Cam has over 10 years experience in bathrooms and has his Kitchens, Bathrooms and Laundries license. 299120C
